Which airport to fly into

  • Marrakech (RAK): best for Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, Essaouira and tours to the Sahara.
  • Casablanca (CMN): the main long-haul hub, with trains to the city and onward connections.
  • Fes (FEZ): convenient for Fes, Meknes, Chefchaouen and tours to Merzouga.
  • Tangier (TNG): for the north, Chefchaouen and the Al Boraq high-speed train.
  • Agadir (AGA): for beach holidays on the southern coast.

Getting into town

Only Casablanca has a train to the city. At other airports, use official taxis (agree the fare first) or pre-booked transfers. Marrakech, Agadir and Fes airports also have airport buses.

Domestic flights

Royal Air Maroc and some low-cost airlines link Casablanca with most regional airports, which can save a long drive, for example to Errachidia for the Sahara or Ouarzazate for the south. See the train map for travel by rail.
